Irene Dedio

Communications and Content Manager
Irene Dedio brings 25 years of journalism and editorial management experience to her role of communications and content manager.

She began her career in entertainment journalism in 1992 with Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee and Good Morning America in New York. Irene spent 10 years as the senior editor of Soaps In Depth magazine, reporting on daytime television and serving as creative director of the magazine’s national advertising campaign. As a feature writer for various publications, she has interviewed diverse personalities ranging from Al Pacino, Kelly Ripa and Gloria Steinem to the Beach Boys, Rick Springfield and John Stamos.

In 2004, she founded More Than Words Communications, providing customized copywriting and editing services to clients in the entertainment, educational software, finance and real estate industries. At the same time, she held leadership positions with her local PTA, was a class mom year-after-year and a longtime volunteer with Make-A-Wish Foundation.

A native Jersey girl, Irene graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication. She earned a master's degree in communication arts from William Paterson University in N.J., where she later served as a professor of communication and journalism. In addition, she is a certified middle and high school English teacher, most recently teaching sixth grade in Bonita Springs, Florida.

A part-time Southwest Florida resident for the past 20 years, Irene and her family decided to make beautiful Naples their full-time home in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, biking and her book club — and has a passion for exploring new cities with her husband and two teenage children.
